SELF-ADHESIVE LETTERING · LUXEMBOURG

Adhesive lettering & transfers

Self-adhesive lettering for applying a cut name, text or logo without a printed background. PowerPrint assesses the outline, dimensions, colour, quantity, surface and application conditions, then prepares the kit with its transfer film in its Luxembourg workshop. The file and fine details are checked before quoting.

DO YOU ALREADY HAVE YOUR TEXT OR LOGO?

State the final dimensions, colour, quantity, intended surface and application conditions. Add the vector file if available and list each size or version to be prepared.

Request a quote

The cut and transfer film are defined after the outline and stated surface have been checked.

NEED ADVICE?

UNSURE ABOUT THE SIZE OR APPLICATION?

Send a front-facing photograph of the surface, its dimensions and the available text or logo. State where and under which conditions the lettering will be applied; the workshop will assess the legibility, level of detail and information required for preparation.

Have my file checked

You do not need the final file to request an initial check.

CUT BRANDING WITHOUT A PRINTED BACKGROUND

The lettering retains only the shapes of the cut text or logo. The intended substrate remains visible between the letters and design elements. The final size must therefore retain lines, spaces and isolated parts that can be cut and handled reliably.

A vector file is preferable for defining the outline. If you do not have one, send the best version available: the workshop will state whether it can be prepared and whether simplification is required. Complex vectorisation or redesign of the logo is not automatically included.

THE TRANSFER FILM MAINTAINS ALIGNMENT DURING APPLICATION

After cutting, the transfer film holds the letters and elements in place until they are applied to the surface. The kit can therefore be prepared for application by the customer. The branding dimensions, nature and condition of the substrate, any raised areas and access conditions must nevertheless be considered before approval.

Application quality also depends on surface preparation and handling of the kit. Describe the substrate and application context; adhesion to every material, correction of a damaged surface or universal durability cannot be assumed.

Your questions — Adhesive lettering & transfers

Does self-adhesive lettering have a background?

No. The letters and shapes are cut from vinyl, and the intended surface remains visible between the elements. The transfer film is temporary: it keeps their position and alignment during application.

What is the transfer film for?

It holds the cut text or logo together so the different elements remain aligned during application. Its preparation depends on the outline, dimensions and project; the exact kit is confirmed after the file has been checked.

Do I need to provide a vector file?

It is preferable for a logo or precise outline. Send the best file available in any case. The workshop checks the geometry, details, spacing and final size, then states whether preparation or simplification is required.

Can I apply the lettering myself?

Yes, the kit is prepared for application. The surface, its dimensions and condition, access conditions and your experience must nevertheless be considered. Describe the context before ordering so the workshop can check that the project is consistent.

Can you prepare several sizes, colours or texts?

Yes. List each version with its text or file, colour, dimensions and quantity. Variations must be named unambiguously and are checked separately before production.

Can a highly detailed logo be cut as lettering?

This depends on the outline and final size. Very fine elements, small spaces and isolated parts may need simplifying. The workshop checks the file and identifies the adaptations to approve before cutting.

What lead time should I allow for self-adhesive lettering?

The usual lead time is 10 to 14 days after project approval and receipt of the required materials. A 24 h or 72 h express option can be considered only subject to feasibility, the surface, dimensions, quantity, variations, file preparation and workshop workload.

Which information about the surface should I provide?

State its material, condition, dimensions, shape and application and exposure conditions. If possible, add a front-facing photograph and a view of the edges or raised areas. These materials are used to assess the project, without guaranteeing universal adhesion or a fixed lifespan.
