PHOTO & ART SOLUTIONS

Choose the right page for your image

Photograph, digital artwork, poster or a creation combining image and text: each page explains the format, file and choices the workshop will check before printing.

WHAT THE WORKSHOP CHECKS

What we check before printing

A sharp image on screen is not automatically suitable for the printed format. The file, its proportions and the chosen substrate directly affect the result.

The file and its resolution

The original version, pixel dimensions, compression and available resolution are assessed for the requested final format.

Cropping and composition

Aspect ratio, orientation, cropping, margins and any text, signatures or numbering must remain consistent and legible at the selected format.

The paper and appearance

The paper’s surface, tone and texture affect reflections, blacks, contrast and detail. The options actually available are confirmed when quoting.

A screen emits light, while a print reflects it. An absolute colour match between the screen and print cannot be promised.

FROM FILE TO PRINT

Three steps to define your project

  1. You describe the image and its intended use

State the project type, proposed format, orientation, quantity, intended presentation and deadline.

  2. We check the file and appearance

The workshop examines the resolution, aspect ratio, crop, margins and paper options compatible with the project.

  3. You receive initial guidance

You receive a first response within 1 working hour; the quote and schedule follow once the files and available options have been checked.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Your questions — Photo & art

How do I choose between a photo print, Fine Art, poster and photo creation?

A photo print is suitable for a photograph and a photographic appearance. Fine Art printing is intended for photographs, illustrations and digital artwork, using pigment printing and paper selected for the project. Posters cover A3 and A3+ formats. The Photo cards & creations page is suitable for invitations, announcements, thank-you cards and small items combining images and text. These services start from a digital file; digitising a physical original is not included.

Can I order a single copy or a small run?

Yes. A one-off print or small run can be considered. For several images, text versions or variations, state the number of copies required for each file.

What is the largest format offered?

Projects in this range are assessed up to A3+. The appropriate format depends on the proportions and resolution of the file, the paper and the presentation required. The final format is confirmed after checking.

Which files should I provide, and do you accept AI-generated images?

For a photograph, preferably send the original JPG, PNG or TIFF file, or a PDF if that format suits the artwork. For a graphic composition, a PDF, SVG, AI or EPS can be examined. Avoid screenshots and recompressed files. An AI-generated image can be assessed, but false text, artefacts, inconsistent details and resolution must be checked. You must hold the necessary rights and permissions for all materials supplied.

Will my image be cropped or printed with margins?

No automatic cropping is assumed. If the file proportions differ from the requested format, you must approve a crop or retain the whole image with margins. The selected orientation and crop are confirmed before production.

How do I choose the paper or finish?

Describe the image, its intended use and the effect required. Gloss, satin or matt appearances can be considered for photo prints. For a Fine Art print, the surface, tone and texture are assessed to suit the artwork. Exact options depend on the format and availability when quoting.

Will the printed result look exactly the same as my screen?

No, absolute fidelity cannot be promised. Brightness, colours and contrast vary with the file, screen settings, paper and viewing light. The service does not include a contract colour proof.

What lead time should I allow?

The usual lead time is 10 to 14 days after project approval and receipt of the required files and materials. A 24 h or 72 h express option can be considered only subject to feasibility, the format, paper, quantity, required preparation and workshop workload.

YOUR PHOTO & ART PROJECT

Let’s discuss the image you want to print

Send the largest, least compressed digital version you have. The project type, proposed format, quantity and deadline are enough to begin; the workshop will then tell you which choices need to be confirmed.
