Fine Art printing

Fine Art prints for photographs, illustrations and digital artworks up to A3+. PowerPrint assesses every project, from one-offs to small runs, and carries out pigment printing in its Luxembourg workshop. The file, format, paper, margins and intended appearance are examined before quoting.

DO YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT YOU NEED?

State the format and orientation, number of copies, preferred paper or appearance, whether margins are required and any signature or numbering. Add the file in the best quality available.

The choice of paper and margin width can still be specified.

NEED ADVICE?

STILL UNSURE ABOUT THE FORMAT OR PAPER?

Describe the image, its pixel dimensions, proposed format and required effect. We will help you check that the aspect ratio, resolution and paper work together before confirming the quote options.

  • Typical lead time: 10–14 days · Express: 24/72 h, subject to feasibility
  • Delivery throughout Europe

A FILE PREPARED FOR THE FINAL FORMAT

The print format must respect the file's proportions unless cropping is accepted. Sufficient resolution depends on the final dimensions: a file suited to a small print may lack detail at A3+. Send the largest, least compressed digital version you have, without enlarging it artificially.

State the orientation, number of copies and whether margins are required around the image. Any signature, wording or numbering included in the file must remain legible and clear of the edge; its position is checked before production.

THE PAPER CONTRIBUTES TO THE APPEARANCE

Pigment printing is carried out in the Luxembourg workshop on paper selected according to the image and required result. The paper's tone, surface and texture affect blacks, contrast, colours and the perception of detail, so available options are confirmed when quoting.

A screen emits light, while a print reflects ambient light. Its brightness and some colours may therefore differ from the display according to the screen, file, paper and viewing conditions. The workshop aims for an appearance consistent with the project without promising an absolute colour match.

Your questions — Fine Art printing

Can I order a single Fine Art print or a small run?

Yes. A one-off print or small run can be assessed. State the number of identical copies and, if the edition includes variations, list them so they can be included in the quote.

Which formats and papers can you offer?

The service is assessed up to A3+. The choice of paper depends on the image, required appearance and availability when quoting. Describe the appearance you want or provide a reference if you have one; the workshop will specify the compatible options.

Which file should I provide, and how do I check its resolution?

Send the largest, least compressed digital version available, such as a TIFF, PNG, high-quality JPG or PDF if that format suits your artwork. State its pixel dimensions and intended print format, and retain the embedded colour profile if there is one. The aspect ratio must match the final format; otherwise, cropping or margins will need to be agreed. Resolution is assessed according to the requested size; do not enlarge the file artificially.

Why might the print differ from my screen?

A screen is backlit and its settings vary, while a print depends on ambient light and the paper. Brightness, contrast and some colours may therefore change. The workshop examines the file and required appearance, but an absolute colour match between every screen and the print cannot be promised.

Can I include margins, a signature or a numbered edition?

Yes. Specify the margin width and the area to reserve. Any signature or numbering to be printed must appear in the supplied and approved file. If you want to sign or number the copies by hand after printing, state which area should remain blank. For a small edition, give the quantity and numbering system.

Can you digitise an original artwork?

This page covers printing from a digital file. The service does not include digitising a physical original. If you only have the original, describe it before travelling to the workshop so that we can specify what is required to assess your request.

What lead time should I allow for a Fine Art print?

The usual lead time is 10 to 14 days after project approval and receipt of the file and required materials. A 24 h or 72 h express option can be considered only subject to feasibility, the format, paper, quantity and preparation required.

Can I print an AI-generated image, and which rights do I need to check?

An AI-generated image can be examined, but it must be checked at final size: insufficient resolution, inconsistent details, false text, artefacts and repeated areas may become visible in print. You must hold the necessary rights and permissions for every image supplied, including any people, brands, characters or artworks depicted. The file may need correcting before production.
