A CREATION DESIGNED FOR ITS OCCASION

An invitation, thank-you card, announcement and small photo item each have different constraints. The final format, orientation, number of sides, quantity and how the card will be handed out or sent affect the composition. Any special specification must be described and confirmed when quoting.

If several texts, first names, dates or versions are planned, supply a clear list matching each variation to its quantity. This organisation allows the layout to be checked and helps limit errors before production.

IMAGES AND TEXT THAT REMAIN LEGIBLE AT FINAL SIZE

Photographs, illustrations, logos and text are examined at print size. An overly compressed image, screenshot or text too close to the edge may produce an inadequate result. Send the available original files and retain a safe area around important information.

If a colour or image runs to the edge, the preparation required must be checked against the layout. Screen display and printing may differ; no absolute colour match is promised. If the file is not finished, the workshop will specify the adaptations or preparation to be quoted before production.

Can I order a single card or a small run?

Yes. A one-off card or small run can be assessed according to the format, number of sides, number of versions, file preparation and required lead time.

Which types of photo card and creation can you assess?

Invitations, thank-you cards, announcements, messages and other small photo items can be assessed. State the occasion, proposed format, number of sides and quantity. Feasible specifications are confirmed when quoting.

Can I start with a simple photograph or idea?

Yes. Send the photograph in the best quality available, the text to include and a description of the required result. The workshop will tell you what can be used, which elements are missing and any preparation required before production.

Do I need to provide a finished layout?

No. A finished file makes assessment easier, but you can send your images, text, logo and references. Any preparation or adaptation still required is identified and specified before quoting; no complete graphic-design service is assumed to be included.

Can I include several first names, messages or versions?

Yes, these variations can be assessed. Supply a clear table with each text or first name, the corresponding version and its quantity. Spelling and the allocation must be approved before production.

Which files should I provide, and will the result match my screen?

For photographs, preferably send the original JPG, PNG or TIFF files. For a layout or graphic elements, a PDF, SVG, AI or EPS can be examined. Resolution, aspect ratio, margins and legibility are checked at final size. An absolute match with the screen cannot be guaranteed because the paper, printing process, display settings and light affect perception.

What lead time should I allow for custom cards?

The usual lead time is 10 to 14 days after project approval and receipt of the required materials. A 24 h or 72 h express option can be considered only subject to feasibility, the format, quantity, number of versions, preparation required and workshop workload.

Do you accept AI-generated images, and which rights do I need to check?

An AI-generated image can be examined, but it must be checked at final size: false text, inconsistent details, artefacts and resolution defects may require adaptation. You must hold the necessary rights and permissions for all supplied images, text, logos, brands, characters, artworks and identifiable people.
